Lent Update!

Every year, the Diocese of Norwich runs the Lent Project, encouraging parishes to raise money to support charities both at home and abroad.  We’re thrilled to say that in 2013 The Oasis of Life was chosen as a charity to benefit from this appeal.

Thank you so much to everyone who has made a contribution – we sent out the first installment of money raised straightaway and are really pleased with the progress.  Steve Puleh has worked tirelessly to organise all the supplies and labour, and organised everything from the foundation to the roof.

As you can see, the roof is completed, along with all the doors, and as of April 2016 we have finished the roof, windows and interior floor tiling.  As a minimum we’re aiming to provide

  • Refrigerated units to store blood and medical suppliers.
  • A water filtration unit to catch and purify rain water.
  • Toilet facilities.

This clinic will be self-sufficient within two years, but needs charitable contributions to generate enough momentum to keep it moving.

Thank you again to everyone who has contributed to help make this happen.
